Double-Blind Peer Review Process

All submissions to Ved International Journal of Yoga & Allied Sciences (VIJYAS) undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process, ensuring the anonymity of both authors and reviewers throughout the evaluation and publication process. This system promotes fairness, objectivity, and academic integrity while maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing.

Purpose of Peer Review

The peer review process aims to ensure the quality, originality, validity, and scholarly significance of manuscripts prior to publication. Submitted manuscripts are evaluated by experts in Yoga, Health Sciences, Physical Education, Sports Sciences, Psychology, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, and other allied disciplines. Their constructive feedback assists the Editorial Board in determining whether the manuscript meets the journal's academic and ethical standards for publication.

Key Characteristics of Peer Review

Exclusive Submission

Manuscripts submitted to VIJYAS must not be under consideration, review, or publication in any other journal, conference proceedings, or publication platform simultaneously.

Scope Consideration

VIJYAS reviews only those manuscripts that fall within the journal's defined scope, including Yoga, Yogic Sciences, Meditation, Pranayama, Physical Education, Sports Sciences, Health and Wellness, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Psychology, and related interdisciplinary fields.

Review by Experts

Each manuscript is generally evaluated by two independent subject experts. Additional reviewers may be assigned by the Editors when specialized expertise or further assessment is required.

Editorial Decision-Making

The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board make publication decisions based on reviewer recommendations, manuscript quality, originality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's scope. Authors are informed promptly regarding acceptance, revision requirements, or rejection.

Confidentiality

All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers and editors are expected to maintain strict confidentiality and must not disclose any information related to the manuscript during or after the review process.

Conflict of Interest

Editors and reviewers must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest. Individuals with conflicts that may affect impartial judgment are excluded from the review and decision-making process.

Independence and Impartiality

The peer review process is conducted independently and objectively to minimize bias and ensure fair evaluation. Special procedures are followed when members of the Editorial Board submit manuscripts to maintain transparency and impartiality.

Reviewer Anonymity

The identities of reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process. Similarly, author identities are concealed from reviewers, ensuring a true double-blind review system.

Revision and Resubmission

Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewer comments. Revised submissions may undergo further review before a final editorial decision is made.
